Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) under POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Act, 2013 Constituted under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013

In accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, East Point College of Medical Sciences & Research Centre has constituted an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to ensure a safe, secure, and gender-sensitive working and learning environment for all women employees, faculty, staff, and students.

Objectives of the POSH Committee:

  • To prevent sexual harassment at the workplace.
  • To provide a platform for redressal of complaints related to sexual harassment.
  • To promote awareness among employees and students about gender sensitization and respectful workplace behavior.


    • Scope:

    The POSH Committee addresses:

  • Any unwelcome acts or behavior (whether directly or by implication) such as physical contact, advances, demands for sexual favors, making sexually colored remarks, showing pornography, or any other unwelcome physical, verbal, or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature.
  • All women employees (teaching and non-teaching), students, residents, interns, and visitors on the campus.

    The identity of the complainant and all details of the case are kept strictly confidential.

    Functions of the POSH Committee:

  • Receive and inquire into complaints of sexual harassment.
  • Recommend appropriate action in accordance with the law.
  • Organize awareness and sensitization programs for students and staff.
  • Submit annual reports as per statutory requirements.


    • Contact the POSH Committee:

    Women who experience any form of sexual harassment at the workplace are encouraged to report the matter in writing to the POSH Committee. Complaints may be submitted in person or via the official email: posh@epcms.ac.in
